Touch your Heart- Music from Formosa
11/08/08 Saturday 8:00PM
Stephens Hall Theater, Towson University

Take a musical journey through songs and tales with a group of talents from Taiwan, the island nation, also known as Formosa. After centuries of progress that incorporated traditional Chinese culture, Japanese culture and Western culture, Taiwan has developed a culture of its own, which is rich in cultural contrast and spiritual distinction. This concert, featuring Taiwanese music that draws from both traditional and contemporary influences in a selection of folk songs and new compositions, provides a kaleidoscopic view of Taiwan’s multicultural dynamism. This program is organized in cooperation with the Taiwan American Association-Greater Baltimore Chapter.

Huai-En Tsai, tenor trombone
